As the BBL06 campaign rapidly comes upon us, the Melbourne Renegades have made a huge signing of West Indian spinner Sunil Narine.
The 28-year-old spinner fills the second overseas slot alongside fellow Trinidadian Dwayne Bravo.
Ranked as the ninth best T20 bowler on the International Cricket Council charts, Narine signing will form a high profile spin-attack for the renegades with old timer, but new recruit Brad Hogg.
"He has a lot of experience and has won the world's toughest T20 tournament twice – those insights will be a huge benefit to the team in this campaign," Renegades coach Andrew McDonald said.
“We’re really excited to have him teaming up with Brad Hogg. They’ll be a nice combination through the middle overs for Aaron Finch to use”.

Already having a stint with the Sixers in BBL02, Narine is excited to be back playing down under, but this time in Melbourne.
"This is a great opportunity for me and I'm looking forward to moving down to Melbourne for the BBL season," Narine said.
"With my fellow countryman Dwayne Bravo, captain Aaron Finch and the rest of the guys, I'm hoping for a successful tournament".
The Melbourne Renegades will kick off their campaign against BBL05 champions, Sydney Thunder on December 22nd.
